Mark S. Lilling is the founder and co-managing partner of Lilling & Company LLP. Mark is director of client services and leads the firm’s peer review division. Mark’s audit focus includes broker-dealers, commercial entities, and not-for-profits. Mark founded the firm in 1984.
Mark performs peer reviews of other CPA firms under standards established by the AICPA. Every year since the AICPA Peer Review program became mandatory in 1988, Mark has performed the most peer reviews in New York.
Mark is a frequent speaker and author on audit issues. He is the original author and creator of “Advantage Audit”, a leading series of quality control material. Mark was a sponsor of a lecture series for the Vincent C. Ross Institute of Accounting Research at New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Prior to founding Lilling, Mark was an audit professional at a Big Four accounting firm and was a partner at a top 100 accounting firm in the United States.
Mark received his Masters of Business Administration, with honors, from Saint John’s University and his Bachelors of Science from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
Mark is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the AICPA, NYSSCPA, and PICPA.
