About the AICPA Peer Review Program
In 1988, peer reviews were mandated by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as a method to uphold the highest professional standards. Participation in the Program has become an AICPA membership requirement for public practices, and peer review has also become a licensing requirement
in the majority of states.
